Welcome to Rhondarun. I will be posting about my running experiences, trials and tribulations. The first thing I will share is this weekend’s race. I ran in the Susan G. Komen, “Race for the Cure”. Our team raised a total of $1035. I ran in the timed event and took second place in my division. This was my 2nd timed 5K since I started running in April of 2009 and I was pleasantly surprised to see my placement…actually I was thrilled!
I was supposed to start my advanced training for the 1/2 marathon on December 6th today but learned that I have a heel spur that will keep me from starting the program today. I’m not a good injured/sick person. It will be tough for me to take 2 days off from running. I love the adrenaline and I get depressed on the days I don’t run.
Check back tomorrow to see how I coped.
